Dear GenV participants! I’m Jatender, and I am excited to introduce myself as the Data Lead for GenV Program. Together, we are embarking on an incredible journey to understand health and development across different stages of life. My mission is to ensure your valuable contributions are handled with the utmost care and dedication. What does your job entail? As the Data Lead, I wear many hats to make sure our research program runs smoothly. Here’s a glimpse into my data world: Data Collection: I collaborate with our team to gather data from various sources, including health records, survey responses, and more. Each piece of information you provide helps us piece together a clearer picture of health and development. Data Processing: Once we collect the data, my team and I dive into it to ensure it’s accurate, clean, and ready for analysis. We meticulously organise the information so it’s easy for our researchers to work with. Data Security: Your privacy is my top priority. I take extensive measures to ensure all data is stored securely and reasonably deidentified before undertaking analysis. Data Accessibility: I develop systems and processes to ensure secure and efficient ways for authorised researchers to use the research datasets. how does your role impact the genv program? Imagine your contributions as pieces of a puzzle. My job is to fit those pieces together to reveal important insights. By ensuring our data is accurate, secure, and accessible, I help our researchers discover patterns and answers that can lead to better health outcomes for everyone. Making Data FAIR I am committed to making our GenV Research data FAIR: Findable: Data is meticulously organised and documented, making it easy for researchers to find. Accessible: We store data securely yet ensure it’s accessible to authorised users when needed. Interoperable: Data is formatted for easy integration Reusable: Data is well-documented and preserved, ready to be used for future research. What do you want to say to genv families?
