GenV at Melbourne Knowledge Week

The Generation Victoria (GenV) team are delighted to be taking part in Melbourne Knowledge Week for the first time in 2022. Our panel talk: Meet the people behind GenV will be an engaging discussion designed for members of the Melbourne Community who are interested in hearing about how the GenV Program could change health outcomes for future generations.

narrm ngarrgu | Melbourne Knowledge Week (MKW) is an annual program of events that brings together some of the brightest minds to share knowledge and explore innovative ways that will create a better future. Presented by the City of Melbourne, MKW offers a range of exhibitions, activities and talks across various city locations from 9-15 May, 2022.

When expressions of interest opened to register in the program, the GenV team saw the potential for sharing the project with the people of Melbourne and Victoria.  “Melbourne Knowledge Week offers a place to share the GenV story and our vision for a healthier future. We were thrilled to be offered a place in this year’s program” said Rebecca Collins, GenV’s Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, who led the submission on behalf of GenV.

Meet the people behind GenV is a panel of five experts each talking about different aspects of the project and their teams’ dedicated work. The 1-hour talk will cover a broad overview of GenV and look at the benefits of the research and how people can get involved. GenV is for every baby, every parent, for everybody.

Rebecca said “GenV is a Victorian project that is for our community, our kids and the next generation. Public programs like MKW help us connect with Victorian families and health professionals — and we’re excited to return to in-person events.

Following the panel talk, members of the audience will have an opportunity to have their questions answered.

A recording of the panel talk will be available on the GenV YouTube channel, post event.
